Contest: The Kills @ La Tulipe ( May 6, 2009 )

One of the coolest duo in rock, Jamie “Hotel” Hince and Alison “VV” Mosshart
are back in town for the third time and almost a year to the day when they
first unleashed their 3rd and best album “Midnight Boom” in a live setting
@ the Cabaret Music Hall.

Their live shows usually oozes the raw, sexual, sleazy, blues-y garage rock the duo
is well known for.

This shall go down @ La Tulipe, May 6th at 8:30pm with Magic Wands and
The Horrors starting out the night festivities.

I believe the show is already sold out but do not fret people!

Thanks to the good people at CJLO, promoting this night and celebrating their
one year anniversary of being part of Montreal’s AM airwaves, I have a pair
of tickets to give away.

Some Kills” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the
message by midnight, May 4th.

To win said tickets, you must answer this simple question: What is the name
of Alison’s new band with Jack White?

You can read an in-depth feature with Alison done for Interview Magazine
and thanks to Chromewaves, you can listen to “Crazy”, a Patsy Cline cover
they did for an acoustic session they recorded for iTunes earlier this year.

As for opening band The Horrors, you can stream their new album “Primary
Colours” which comes out May 5th on XL Recordings at Spinner and check out
the music video for “Who Can Say” directed by Jesus And Mary Chain’s Douglas Hart.
