ALL 172 EPISODES ARE BACK ONLINE!

Greetings.

It’s been exactly five and a half years since I last made a post.

How ya been?

First things first:

I’ve re-uploaded all 172 Episodes of A Good Day For Airplay, and you can now STREAM or DOWNLOAD them whenever you want.

I’ve also cleaned up the Episode Archive section on the right side of the blog so it’s easier to find whatever episode you’re looking for.

I’ve also created dedicated pages for all the Christmas, music festival, and year-end special episodes I did over the years.

As you can see, if you were a fan of the show back in the day, I’ve kept the old-school design of this blog for aesthetic and nostalgic purposes (it’s very 2009).

I’ve left all the old links as they are. Some still work (even MySpace!), and some don’t. Honestly, if the site still works, I’d rather spend my time doing other things than rebuilding it from scratch.

When I started this show back in 2005, podcasting itself was still in its infancy.

Because this was a full-on music show, I couldn’t submit it to iTunes back then due to copyright issues, and I’m pretty sure any podcast directory today would still reject it for the same reason.

Which is a shame, because this is (IMHO) an amazing time capsule of indie and alternative music from 2005–2020.

Every episode was built around whatever new music I was excited about that week or month, so it’s a snapshot of what was happening in the indie music scene at the time.

Many of these artists and bands don’t even exist anymore.

There are some pretty incredible bangers in these episodes that shouldn’t be lost to time.

The funny thing is, I never really knew who was listening over those 15 years. Every now and then I’d get an email from someone telling me they loved the show.

I know thousands of episodes were downloaded over the years based on the stats I looked at.

Beyond that? A few comments here and there, and that’s about it.

Working on putting every episode back online over the last 10 days inspired me to maybe do this again.

Not every week like before, but maybe once in a while. A new episode here and there between videos for my YouTube channel, which is where most of my creative energy has gone over the last eight years.
