One of my favorite albums of the year so far (and on many other people’s
lists aswell) is Beach House’s “Teen Dream”.
They were in town last night, performing most of said new album to a very
attentive crowd @ La Sala Rossa.
Even tough they played in almost complete darkness, they managed
to re-create their sweet dream pop-ish sound [...]
INXS’s 1987 album “Kick”.
It is their best-selling album, which sold more than 10 million copies in
the U.S. alone and spawned four top 10 singles.

Now that I’m back from SXSW, It’s time to think about other music
festivals I get to look forward in the coming Summer season.
First up, the 5th edition of our own local little slice of the Summer
music festival pie, I speak of course of Osheaga, which is held
each and every year @ Parc Jean-Drapeau on île [...]
Always nice to catch a Nicole Atkins performance (with her
new band “Future Clouds & Radar”) @ SXSW.
This year it was @ the Brooklyn Vegan Day Party happenin’
@ Club De Ville.
She closed out her set with a very nice cover of Sparklehorse’s
“It’s A Wonderful Life” in tribute to Mark Linkous, who sadly
passed away a week ago.
In Austin right now (on my b-day no less) enjoying the warm Texas sun and waiting
for the SXSW festivities to begin.
Gonna catch a movie at the sweetest theater known to mankind (Alamo Drafthouse)
and I should be back to full blogging power in the middle of next week.
