Listen: Hooked On Dirty Airplay 90s Classique Special Extravaganza! Part Deux!

Too many false starts and scheduling conflicts to count since the first show went live but we finally got our act together and recorded a sequel you wanted, nay, demanded.

Denis of Dirty Work, Mr. Omar Goodness of Hooked On Sonics, and I finally assembled at the CJLO studio a week before leaving for the annual CMJ Music Marathon in New York City.

In this episode, you’re getting more of our core picks, the ones we value the most. Also, 90s alt rock bands most people have forgotten about (but we haven’t).

A Mea Culpa: one thing we probably should have done before going live on air was to peruse the setlist of the previous episode.

I mention this because quite a few picks were replayed, such as Temple Of The Dog‘s “Hunger Strike” (it’s that awesome), Sponge‘s “Plowed,” and Pure‘s “Anna Is A Speed Freak,” and about half a dozen bands already featured in part one.

We’ll try to diversify a bit more for Part III.

Lest we forget, the interloper who cajoled us (and by us, I mean Omar) into playing the shittiest Canadian boy band that ever was (B44) from the early 2000s.
