The background music in this episode was “Float Bridges”, taken from the new Working For A Nuclear Free City album “Jojo Burger Tempest” out now on Melodic Records.

What a great episide! Even the hippity-hoppity selection worked for me. Some comments after my 3rd or 4th listen:

The Tahiti 80 song is fun. Is sounds like they used the drums from New Order’s “Blue Monday” in the bridge.

The 88 sounds like some classic mid-90’s brit pop. I can’t put my finger on who they sound like, though. Maybe Supergrass? Cool track, though.

“Let’s Go Surfing” might be my favorite track in this episode. I have heard people compare The Drums to the Cure or New Order but they remind me of Vampire Weekend in this song. Love the fast handclaps.

Jenny and Johnny aren’t really my cup of tea but this song is pretty great. It reminds me of the Lemonheads a lot but I won’t hold that against them.

I haven’t heard much from Florence and the Machine but Zola Jesus sounds exactly like Siouxsie Sioux to me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

And, yes, the girl from Kitten…yoi!

    Keep up the good work.
